Preparations are in top gear for the much-anticipated 19th Edition of the Nigeria Media Nite Award (NMNA), a prestigious event that continues to stand as one of the most respected platforms celebrating excellence, creativity, and dedication within Nigeria’s vibrant media industry.
The event is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025, at B Event Hall, Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
Over the years, the NMNA has carved a niche for itself as a credible avenue for honoring journalists, broadcasters, publishers, and media executives who have demonstrated exceptional professionalism and contributed immensely to the growth of communication in Nigeria.
Now in its 19th year, the NMNA has become a symbol of recognition and encouragement for media practitioners across the country. Its impact has resonated not only within the media space but also among policymakers, industry leaders, and corporate organizations who value the media as a key driver of national development.
This year’s edition promises to be truly exceptional, attracting top dignitaries, captains of industry, and influential figures from different walks of life. The atmosphere is expected to be one of glamour, inspiration, and celebration of the men and women whose work continues to shape narratives and strengthen democracy in Nigeria.
The Guest Speaker for the evening will be Hon. Yazeed Shehu Danfulani (Turakin Zamfara), the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Agriculture Insurance Corporation (NAIC). He is expected to deliver a thought-provoking address on the evolving role of the media in national growth and the importance of integrity in contemporary journalism.
The Special Guest of Honour for the night will be His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, while the Special Guest will be Hon. Dr. Bello Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defence, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

As in previous editions, the NMNA will be graced by a galaxy of dignitaries from various sectors — including government officials, business leaders, entertainment icons, and representatives of major media houses — creating an atmosphere of prestige and excitement “in the estate of the realm.”
According to the organizers, the 19th edition of the NMNA will go beyond the glitz and glamour of an award night. It will serve as a rallying point for promoting excellence in journalism, fostering unity within the media community, and strengthening the bond between the media and other critical sectors driving Nigeria’s development.
Nigeria Media Nite Award roll out categories for voting, giving media lovers and professionals across the country the opportunity to participate by voting for their favorite journalists and media personalities.
Speaking on the forthcoming event, the Convener of Nigeria Media Nite Award (NMNA), Mr. Shola Olugbemiro, expressed excitement about the continuous growth and relevance of the award. He noted that this year’s edition would be supported by various corporate brands and partners who believe in the vision of celebrating the best of the Nigerian media industry.
Mr. Olugbemiro emphasized that the NMNA has, over the years, remained a credible and transparent platform for rewarding excellence, adding that the continued support from sponsors and stakeholders is a testament to the integrity and impact of the event.
Indeed, the Nigeria Media Nite Award remains a beacon of honor, rewarding hard work and dedication while inspiring a new generation of media professionals to uphold the highest standards of truth, objectivity, creativity, and excellence.
