It’s a huge day in the Premier League as Chelsea hosts Arsenal at Stamford Bridge today! The Gunners are looking to extend their lead at the top of the table, while the Blues aim to close the gap to just three points.
Arsenal has been in incredible form, unbeaten in their last 16 games across all competitions. Their last defeat came back in August against Liverpool, and they’ve been dominating games with their impressive attacking lineup. Gabriel Martinelli and Noni Madueke have been in top form, and captain Martin Odegaard is expected to return to the starting lineup.
Chelsea, on the other hand, has been solid at home, winning five of their last six matches at Stamford Bridge. Enzo Maresca’s side has been impressive in the Champions League, beating Barcelona 3-0 on Tuesday, and they’ll be looking to carry that momentum into this London derby.
The Blues have some key players returning from injury, including Cole Palmer, who could make a starting appearance today. Estevao has been in excellent form, and Maresca may decide to play him alongside Palmer. However, Chelsea’s biggest challenge will be stopping Arsenal’s potent attack, led by Odegaard and Bukayo Saka .
In terms of head-to-head, Arsenal has the upper hand, winning four of their last six meetings against Chelsea. The Gunners are also unbeaten in their last six visits to Stamford Bridge, making them favorites to take all three points today ¹ ².
