…Wema Bank Launches “Evolution of Love” Campaign to Celebrate All Forms of Love

Following the launch of “ALAT: The Evolution”, Wema Bank, Nigeria’s oldest indigenous bank and pioneer of Africa’s first fully digital banking platform, ALAT, has unveiled its 2026 Valentine’s campaign, “Evolution of Love, powered by Wema Bank.”
Building on the “evolution” theme of the upgraded ALAT app, the campaign celebrates the many forms of love experienced by customers—ranging from self-love and friendship to romantic love and family bonds. By broadening the Valentine’s Day focus beyond romance, the initiative creates opportunities for every Wema Bank customer to participate.
The campaign targets four customer categories: singles (self-love), friends (friendship), married couples, and couples getting married in February (romantic love). Participants are invited to create a “Love Goal” on the ALAT app and share a one-minute video on any social media platform, highlighting how their love journey has evolved. Gifts vary by category and include cash, spa vouchers, vacations, and fully funded getaways. For one couple marrying in February, Wema Bank will arrange a special performance by a celebrity artist at their wedding.
Commenting on the campaign, Wema Bank MD/CEO Moruf Oseni stated:
“Love is central to delivering true customer-centric service. This year, we celebrate the journey of love in all its forms, from friendships and family bonds to romantic commitments and self-love. Our goal is to ensure every Wema Bank customer feels recognized and appreciated this Valentine’s season.”
To participate, customers must activate SAW, the Voice Banking virtual assistant on the upgraded ALAT app, create a personal or group “Love Goal,” fund the goal, and transact with their ALAT/Wema card between February 1–10. Entries should be posted on social media with #ALATEvolutionofLove, tagging @alat_ng and @wemabank.
