Immediate Past Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun, has been widely lauded for his lasting contributions to security funding and institutional development in Lagos, as he marks his birthday today, Monday, 23rd March 2026, the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) reports.
Leading the birthday tributes, LSSTF’s current Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, described Balogun as a visionary leader whose tenure significantly strengthened the agency’s operational framework and enhanced public-private collaboration in security financing.
In his remarks, Ogunsan highlighted that Balogun’s leadership was characterized by discipline, foresight, and a strong commitment to accountability—qualities that “positioned the organisation as a key pillar in Lagos State’s security architecture.”
Ogunsan also commended Balogun’s personal integrity, noting him as a principled administrator whose influence extends well beyond his time in office.
Under Balogun’s stewardship, the Fund expanded its reach and impact, providing essential resources to security agencies and building stakeholder confidence in the sustainability of the initiative.
“Dr. Balogun’s legacy is reflected in the systems and structures that continue to guide our operations today. His tenure established innovative security funding mechanisms that remain a benchmark,” Ogunsan said. He added that during Balogun’s leadership, LSSTF “became the cynosure of eyes and a model for similar interventions across Nigeria.”
Concluding his tribute, Ogunsan prayed: “As Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun celebrates his birthday today, I wish him fruitful years ahead, wellness of body and soul, and abundant blessings for his family and all that concerns him.”
