The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) shared ₦1.818 trillion in revenue among the Federal Government, states, and local government councils for June 2025. The total distributable revenue was broken down into various components, including distributable statutory revenue, Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and exchange difference revenue.
The Federal Government received ₦645.383 billion, while state governments and local government councils received ₦607.417 billion and ₦444.853 billion, respectively. The oil-producing states also received ₦120.759 billion as their 13% derivation.
The distributable statutory revenue component amounted to ₦1.018 trillion. The Federal Government received ₦474.455 billion, state governments received ₦240.650 billion, and local government councils received ₦185.531 billion. The oil-producing states received ₦118.256 billion as their share of the distributable statutory revenue.
The Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue amounted to ₦631.507 billion. The Federal Government received ₦94.726 billion, state governments received ₦315.754 billion, and local government councils received ₦221.027 billion.
The Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) generated ₦29.165 billion. The Federal Government received ₦4.375 billion, state governments received ₦14.582 billion, and local government councils received ₦10.208 billion.
The exchange difference revenue component amounted to ₦38.849 billion. The Federal Government received ₦19.147 billion, state governments received ₦9.712 billion, and local government councils received ₦7.487 billion. The oil-producing states also received ₦2.503 billion as their share of the exchange difference revenue.
The FAAC meeting was held in July 2025, and the communiqué was signed by Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press and Public Relations in the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation. The revenue allocation reflects the ongoing efforts to distribute funds efficiently among the different tiers of government, supporting their operational needs and development projects.
