Otega and Kayikunmi have been evicted from the Big Brother Naija Season 10 house, becoming the third and fourth housemates to leave the competition. Their exit was announced during the live eviction show on Sunday, August 17, 2025, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
The eviction votes were close, with Ivatar securing 1.36% of the votes, edging out Kayikunmi with 1.26% and Otega with 1.22%. The votes were verified by Deloitte and confirmed by M-Net to ensure transparency.
Otega, a 32-year-old chef, photographer, and developer from Delta State, expressed gratitude for the experience and revealed plans to launch a culinary venture named “King of Spices”. He joined the show to challenge himself in a new environment and connect with people through creativity and authenticity. Otega described his career switch from tech to food as his proudest moment.
Kayikunmi, a 25-year-old banker from Ekiti State, admitted that distractions prevented him from showcasing his true personality, which might have affected his chances of staying longer in the house. He had been open about his goals for the show, including winning the grand prize and gaining fame. Kayikunmi expressed readiness to embrace new opportunities, particularly in acting.
With Otega and Kayikunmi’s eviction, a total of five housemates have left the show, including Ibifubara, Danboskid, and Sabrina, who exited due to medical reasons. 24 contestants remain in the competition for the grand prize of ₦150 million. Jason Jae was recognized as the Most Influential Player of the Week for his creativity and contributions during tasks.
During the live eviction show, Ebuka engaged housemates in conversations about their week in the house. Tracy described fellow contestant Imisi as the most difficult housemate, saying she believed Imisi intentionally annoys her to trigger reactions. Kola also addressed his earlier comments about his feelings for Dede, explaining that he only appeared diplomatic to avoid looking “like a fool on national television,” but maintained that their bond remained unchanged.
