The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has approved a major shake-up in the Nigerian Army, redeploying senior officers to key command and staff positions. This strategic move aims to strengthen leadership and enhance the Army’s operational effectiveness.
Major General A.A. Adeyinka has been appointed Chief of Logistics (Army), posted from the Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport to the Department of Army Logistics. Major General A.A. Adekeye has been moved from the Department of Standard and Evaluation to the Department of Personnel Management as Chief of Personnel Management (Army).
Major General T.B. Ugiagbe has been redeployed from the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps to the Department of Standard and Evaluation as Chief of Standard and Evaluation. Major General A.A. Idris has been posted from Defence Headquarters to the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps as Chief of Military Intelligence (Army). Major General M.O. Erebulu has been redeployed from the Department of Special Services and Programmes to the Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police as Provost Marshal (Army).
Major General A.S.M. Wase has been appointed GOC 1 Division/Commander Sector 1, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, posted from the Department of Training. Major General C.R. Nnebeife has been appointed GOC 2 Division/Commander Sector 3, Operation FANSAN YAMMA.
Major General E.A. Anaryu has been redeployed from the Defence Space Administration as Corps Commander, Supply and Transport. Major General J.E. Osifo has been posted from the Nigerian Army School of Finance and Accounts as Director-General, Nigerian Army Finance Corporation. Major General S.A. Akesode has been redeployed from the Office of the National Security Adviser as Head of Mission, African Union Verification Mission in Tigray, Ethiopia.
Brigadier General M. Jimoh has been redeployed from HQ Operation FANSAN YAMMA as Commander, 1 Brigade. Brigadier General N.E. Okoloagu has been posted from the Army War College Nigeria as Commander, 2 Brigade. Brigadier General A.A. Bello has been redeployed from the Nigerian Army School of Infantry as Commander, 6 Division Garrison/Sector 3, Operation DELTA SAFE.
Major General M.O. Ihanuwaze has been posted from the Nigerian Army Finance Insurance Corporation as Commandant, Nigerian Army Finance School and Administration. Major General K.O. Osemwegie has been appointed Commandant, Army Signal School. Major General A.J. Aliyu has been appointed Commandant, Nigerian Army Ordnance School. Major General A.C. Adetoba has been redeployed from the Department of Transformation and Innovation as Commandant, Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management.
