The Ogun State Government has released a comprehensive list of completed and ongoing road projects across the three senatorial districts. According to the government, several strategic roads have been completed and commissioned in the Ogun Central Senatorial District. In Abeokuta South, the Idi-Aba-Elite-One Lantoro Road spanning 2 kilometers has been completed and commissioned, while the 1.42-kilometer Bayo Oju-Ejigbo-Ijeun-Ake Road is ready for commissioning. The Flyover Bridge at Kuto, Abeokuta, measuring 0.576 kilometers, has also been completed.
The government has also made significant progress in the Ogun East Senatorial District, where the 3-kilometer Awujale Road, covering Awujale, Stadium, and Oke Aje areas, has been completed. Other completed projects include the Ijebu Ode-Epe/Sagamu Bridge Interchange Flyover Bridge, the 3.1-kilometer Molipa/Fusigboye/Ayegun/Ofosa Road, and Asafa Oke / Asafa Isale / Ofosa Street (1.514 km). In Odeda Local Government Area, the administration has completed and commissioned the 7.5-kilometer Obantoko Road and the 5.7-kilometer Somorin-Kemta-Idi Aba Road.
In the Ogun West Senatorial District, the government has completed several projects, including the Ikola/Navy/Osi Ikola Road (1.8 km), RAY Power Road (2.1 km), Singer-Toll Gate Road (Lagos-Ogun Boundary Rehabilitation) (7.5 km), Joju Road, Sango (1.3 km), Igbesa-Ehila Road (4.5 km), and GRA Road, Ota (0.787 km). The Ilaro-Iwoye Road (Phase 1) covering 13 kilometers, Iwoye-Owoode-Yewa Road (Phase 2) (8 km), Owode Yewa-Owode Junction (Phase 3) (6 km), and the Oke-Erinja-Ibiri Road (3.12 km) have all been completed and commissioned.
The Ogun State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to completing all ongoing road projects across the state, saying that the Dapo Abiodun-led government will never take the yearnings of the Ogun people with levity. The government has also urged motorists and residents using the Abeokuta-Sango Ota Road to remain patient as reconstruction work continues along the busy route. The reconstruction project was flagged off by Governor Dapo Abiodun in August 2024 with an 18-month completion timeline .
Some of the ongoing projects include the Sango-Idiroko Highway, which is a 63km federal road, and the Abeokuta-Sango Ota Road, which is expected to be completed within 18 months. The government has also approved the reconstruction of additional 11 roads spread across the three senatorial districts in the state. Other notable projects include the Agro-Cargo Airport (Iperu Phase 1A & 2A), the Atan-Lusada-Marogbo Toll Road (19.2km), and the Lafenwa-Osi-Ikola Road (7km).
