The Lagos State Government has announced a comprehensive traffic diversion plan ahead of the 10th Edition of the Lagos Women Run, happening tomorrow, November 8, 2025, starting at 6:00 a.m. The 10-kilometer race will start at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) and end at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
The affected roads include Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Water Board, Old NITEL, Outer Marina, Officers Mess, Bonny Camp Bridge, State House, Ahmadu Bello Way, Akin Adesola Street, Falomo Bridge, Falomo Roundabout, Awolowo Road, Onikan Roundabout, and Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
To minimize disruptions, motorists from Ozumba Mbadiwe heading to Third Mainland Bridge are advised to go through Bonny Camp to Onikan Underpass, link Marina Exit to Force Road, and connect Outer Marina to Third Mainland Bridge. Motorists from Apongbon heading to Ikoyi should use Odunlami Street to link Igbosere Road, then Moloney Street to connect Ikoyi Road.
Traffic officials from LASTMA, Police, FRSC, and LSNC will be on the ground to manage movement and ensure safety. The event is organized by the Lagos State Sports Commission and private partners, promoting women’s health, community engagement, and athletic excellence. The Lagos State Government appeals to motorists to exercise patience and cooperate with traffic officials, assuring that the closures are temporary and will be lifted gradually as the race progresses.
