Rite Foods Limited, Nigeria’s leading food and beverage company, joined the worldwide observance of International Men’s Day (IMD) 2025 by highlighting the contributions, achievements and positive impact of men and boys in society. The occasion also shines a light on issues that affect men, such as health, well‑being and work‑life balance.
This year’s IMD theme, “Celebrating Men and Boys,” echoes Rite Foods’ dedication to building an inclusive, supportive environment where every individual, regardless of gender, can thrive. The company acknowledges the essential roles men play as fathers, leaders, colleagues, mentors and change‑makers, and used the day to showcase their influence both inside and outside the workplace.
Speaking about the significance of the day, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Seleem Adegunwa, stressed the importance of balance and well‑being for men in today’s fast‑paced world. “As we mark International Men’s Day, we honour the resilience, hard work and positive influence of the men in our workforce and the communities we serve,” he said. “Rite Foods is proud to foster a culture where men feel seen, supported and empowered to lead healthy, meaningful lives.”
Adegunwa added that men, both within the organisation and across the nation, serve as leaders, innovators and key contributors to family and community development—qualities the company continually strives to support and celebrate. Echoing this sentiment, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Ekuma Eze, noted that the dedication and hard work of Rite Foods’ male employees are central to the company’s growth story and that a collaborative, learning‑focused environment enables all staff to thrive and drive progress.
Rite Foods also highlighted its extensive portfolio of quality brands, including the 13‑variant Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Table Water, the award‑winning Sosa Fruit Drink, Fearless Energy Drink, and its range of Bigi Flex, Rite and Bigi Beef Sausages. The company’s commitment to excellence was reinforced by recent recognitions: three honors at the 2025 Edge Awards (Outstanding Carbonated Soft Drink Brand – Bigi Apple; Outstanding Sausage Brand of the Decade – Bigi Beef Sausage Roll; Outstanding FMCG Corporate Brand – Rite Foods Limited) and the title of Food Company of the Year 2024 at the Independent Awards.
Through its people, products and purpose‑driven initiatives, Rite Foods continues to champion excellence while contributing to a healthier, more progressive society. The company remains dedicated to energising consumers—especially men—with its expanding range of high‑quality brands and to fostering a workplace where everyone can succeed.
