A leading financial institution, Fidelity Bank Plc will host a free virtual training on the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 (NTA) as part of its commitment to helping small businesses prepare for the upcoming legislation.
This masterclass, scheduled for 10:00 AM (Nigerian Time) on Friday, 12 December 2025, will equip participants with a clear understanding of recent changes to the tax framework. We will explore the implications for personal income and business operations, outline actionable steps to prevent penalties in the 2026 assessment year, and discuss proactive strategies for navigating the changing regulatory environment.
On 26 June 2025, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed four major tax bills into law, marking a pivotal reform of Nigeria’s fiscal system. Coming into effect on 1 January 2026, these Acts constitute a comprehensive overhaul designed to modernize the tax framework, enhance revenue generation, broaden the tax base, and provide greater clarity for taxpayers and government entities alike.
“Our initiative to host this masterclass is driven by a commitment to arm businesses with accurate information ahead of the new tax regime. In today’s landscape, information is currency, and an informed business is a prepared one. We are therefore mobilizing experts to demystify the tax act and deliver reliable guidance,” noted Osita Ede, Divisional Head, Product Development, Fidelity Bank Plc.
