FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC has named its newly upgraded learning and development centre the ‘Chief Olu Akinkugbe Academy’ after its late founding Chairman. The state-of-the-art facility was commissioned at the company’s Lagos headquarters shortly before Christmas.
The renaming immortalises Chief Akinkugbe’s exceptional contributions to FrieslandCampina WAMCO company and his broader impact on Nigeria’s socio-economic and dairy sectors. Renowned as one of the nation’s most respected industrialists, Chief Akinkugbe laid the foundation for the company’s legacy of excellence, professionalism, and responsible business leadership.
In his remarks, the Chairman, Board of Directors, FrieslandCampina WAMCO, Mr. Yinka Sanni, hailed the event as a key milestone, he honored the late Chairman’s legacy, noting, “Chief Olu Akinkugbe laid the cornerstone on which FrieslandCampina WAMCO stands today.”
