In a renewed demonstration of commitment to security and public safety in Lagos State, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated two operational vehicles to the Eko Strike Force, a specialised police unit created to strengthen intelligence-led policing and crime prevention across the state. The donation highlights the sustained partnership between the Lagos State Government and the Nigeria Police Force in protecting lives, property, and critical infrastructure in Nigeria’s economic hub, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.
The gesture further highlights the sustained collaboration between the Lagos State Government and the Nigeria Police Force in protecting lives, property, and critical infrastructure in Nigeria’s commercial hub.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, the Executive Secretary/CEO of LSSTF, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, praised the leadership and achievements of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, who conceptualised the Eko Strike Force initiative. He described the CP’s tenure as impactful and worthy of commendation.
“On behalf of the Lagos State Governor, the Board and Management of LSSTF, and especially the donors of these assets, we are pleased to hand over these vehicles. We are proud of what you have accomplished since assuming office. Your outstanding performance assures us that as you continue to seek support, LSSTF will remain steadfast in providing the assistance required,” Ogunsan said.
He added that the donation reflects LSSTF’s confidence in the professionalism and operational effectiveness of the Eko Strike Force, reaffirming the Fund’s commitment to sustained logistical support for seamless policing across Lagos.
“We cannot withhold support from a senior police officer who is working tirelessly to keep Lagos safe. These vehicles are to further empower the Eko Strike Force to execute innovative ideas that will enhance policing and security across the state,” he stated.
In his response, CP Jimoh expressed gratitude to the LSSTF for its consistent backing, situating the donation within the broader framework of ongoing security interventions in Lagos.
“We appreciate LSSTF for adding to the fleet of the Eko Strike Force. In February 2025, we received five vehicles. So far, the unit has received ten vehicles—eight from LSSTF and two from the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun. The Eko Strike Force serves as a bridge, complementing the efforts of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS),” he said.
The CP assured that the vehicles would be strategically deployed to safeguard critical infrastructure and high-traffic locations across the state, including key economic corridors.

He further reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to synergy with the Lagos State Government in advancing its development and security agenda.
“We thank LSSTF for its unwavering support, trust, and partnership. We will continue to work collaboratively to advance the THEMES-plus agenda of Mr. Governor, ensuring the safety and security of all residents and visitors to Lagos State,” Jimoh said.
The donation represents another milestone in Lagos State’s sustained investment in security infrastructure, reinforcing its status as one of the most proactive states in supporting policing and public safety in Nigeria.
