The card is part of a program that offers expedited US residency and citizenship in exchange for a $1 million investment. Minaj, who has previously spoken about entering the US illegally as a child, posted a photo of the card on social media, captioning it “Welp…” and claiming she’s finalizing her citizenship paperwork.
The Trump Gold Card program requires applicants to pay a non-refundable $15,000 processing fee and invest $1 million in the US. However, the White House has clarified that Minaj’s card is just a memento, not an actual visa document. Minaj has been a legal permanent resident for roughly two decades and is already eligible to petition for citizenship .
