JMG Haulage Boosts Nationwide Logistics Capacity with Significant Fleet Expansion
Abayomi Susan
JMG Haulage, the logistics and haulage arm of JMG, has unveiled a major fleet expansion designed to strengthen its position as a leading transport and logistics provider across Nigeria. The expansion responds to rising demand within FMCG, beverage, and industrial supply chains, while substantially enhancing nationwide haulage capacity.
Established in 2019, JMG Haulage commenced operations with four trucks serving internal distribution needs and select third-party clients. Through consistent service delivery, strong operational discipline, and a commitment to reliability, the company expanded its fleet to 31 heavy-duty and 16 light-duty trucks prior to the latest growth phase.
The current expansion introduces 20 additional heavy-duty trucks, each configured as a 24-pallet unit with payload capacities of up to 45 tons. This addition significantly strengthens JMG Haulage’s long-haul and nationwide transport capabilities, enabling support for large-scale logistics operations across the country. The development also enhances JMG’s profile within Nigeria’s haulage and logistics landscape, positioning the company as a preferred partner for both national and multinational shippers.
The newly deployed fleet adopts a mixed-energy approach. Ten trucks are powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), offering a driving range of up to 1,400 kilometres, while the remaining ten diesel-powered units ensure flexibility across varied haulage routes. This balanced strategy supports operational efficiency, reliability, and environmental responsibility.
Commenting on the expansion, General Manager of JMG Haulage, Mohamad Dayekh, said:
“This fleet expansion marks a strategic milestone for JMG Haulage. It enables us to scale our nationwide operations while upholding high standards of service, cost efficiency, and safety. Our investment in both CNG and diesel technologies strengthens reliability for our customers today and positions us for a more sustainable future.”
Fleet deployment was completed in January 2026 following comprehensive inspection, branding, driver allocation, and route planning. As a result, JMG Haulage projects an increase in monthly operational mileage from approximately 150,000 kilometres to 250,000 kilometres, improving delivery timelines, reducing turnaround times, and accommodating new customers without service disruption.
Operating on a pan-Nigeria basis, JMG Haulage services major commercial corridors across the North, South, East, and West, delivering professional logistics solutions for FMCG, agro-products, chemicals, cosmetics, electrical goods, generators, and industrial equipment. This broad industry coverage enhances the company’s resilience and long-term growth prospects within Nigeria’s logistics sector.
Backed by dedicated maintenance teams, OEM-led technical training, preventive maintenance programmes, and strict cost-per-kilometre monitoring, JMG Haulage continues to deliver safe, efficient, and dependable nationwide services.
Looking ahead, the company plans to expand into cold-chain logistics and deepen investments in green haulage solutions, aligning with global sustainability standards and reinforcing JMG Haulage’s status as a future-ready logistics leader in Nigeria.
