The All Progressives Congress (APC) has replaced Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma with former Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari as Chairman of the National Convention Central Coordination Committee. This decision was made to accommodate zoning considerations and expand stakeholder inclusion ahead of the party’s 2026 National Convention, scheduled for March 27-28, 2026.
The party’s National Working Committee (NWC) announced the changes in a statement signed by APC National Secretary, Dr. Joshua Iginla. Uzodimma, who was initially appointed as chairman, has been reassigned as Treasurer of the convention body. The party also expanded the committee’s membership from 73 to 90, bringing in additional chieftains, including Senator Barry Mpigi.

Former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim has been appointed as Vice Chairman I, while Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq serves as Vice Chairman II. Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has been appointed as Secretary.
