Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has submitted her Peoples Democratic Party nomination forms to run for a second term representing Kogi Central in the 2027 elections.
She submitted the forms at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja on May 11, 2026, alongside supporters and political associates. The move officially signals her re-election bid under the PDP platform.
After submitting the forms, Akpoti-Uduaghan said she remains committed to serving her people and advancing democratic values. She described the campaign as more than personal ambition, framing it as an effort to sustain purposeful representation and ensure democratic dividends reach every community.
Her focus for a second term centers on infrastructure, education, healthcare delivery, and economic opportunities in Kogi Central. She said, “We have started a movement of hope, inclusion, and progress,” and pledged to continue building a future where citizens feel represented and valued.
The senator, 46, first declared her re-election intention on April 27 during a meeting of Kogi Central PDP stakeholders, following consultations and endorsements across the district’s five LGAs. Her husband, Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, facilitated the purchase of the nomination forms.
The race is expected to be closely watched. Reports indicate former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello may seek the APC ticket for the same seat. In the PDP, Muhammad Abdullahi has also picked forms for Kogi East, showing early momentum in the party’s senatorial contests across the state.
