Former Vice President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has described the party as the new home of Nigeria’s best talents, urging Osun voters to support its governorship candidate, Najeem Salaam.
Atiku made the statement on Monday during the ADC grand finale campaign rally in Osogbo, where he appealed to residents to vote for Salaam in Saturday’s governorship election.
He said the ADC was different from other political parties and assured voters that they would not regret supporting the party.
The rally was attended by ADC National Chairman, David Mark; former Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola; and other party leaders who mobilised support for Salaam.
Osun residents are expected to vote on August 15 to elect a governor for the next four years, with incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, and ADC candidate Najeem Salaam among the major contenders.
