The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a suspected member of the Eiye Confraternity and recovered a locally made single-barrel pistol in Mushin, as part of ongoing efforts to combat cultism and other violent crimes across the state.
Following credible intelligence on suspected cult-related activities around Ogunmokun Under-Bridge, Mushin, police operatives quickly mobilised a surveillance team to the area, leading to the arrest of 24-year-old Segun Alani.
A search conducted on the bag in his possession led to the discovery of a locally made single-barrel pistol concealed inside it. The suspect is currently in police custody and is providing useful information to assist with the ongoing investigation.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, commended the operatives for their swift response and intelligence-driven operation. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to disrupting cult-related activities and recovering illegal firearms across Lagos State.
CP Fatai warned cultists and other criminal elements to desist from their activities or face the full wrath of the law.
