Rite Foods Limited has been listed among Nigeria’s Top 50 Companies of Impact for 2026, earning recognition for its contributions to innovation, sustainability, employment and community development.
The indigenous food and beverage manufacturer received the recognition at this year’s Industry Newspaper Awards, which celebrates companies playing significant roles in Nigeria’s economic and social development.
Rite Foods was particularly acknowledged for its investments in advanced manufacturing facilities, technology and product innovation, as well as its efforts to promote sustainable business practices and create local economic value.
The company has developed a diverse range of consumer products, including Bigi soft drinks and premium water, Sosa fruit drinks, Fearless energy drink and a variety of Rite and Bigi beef sausages.
Speaking on the award, Industry Newspaper Editor-in-Chief and Chief Executive Officer, Goddie Ofose, said the recognition was reserved for organisations whose activities have produced meaningful economic, social and environmental benefits.
Ofose pointed to Rite Foods’ environmental programmes, including the Waste-Is-Naira (W.I.N.) initiative and Riteonthebeach, which encourage plastic waste collection and promote environmental responsibility.
He also highlighted the company’s energy management strategy, noting that approximately 95 per cent of its energy consumption is sourced from natural gas and solar power, with diesel making up the remaining five per cent.
Rite Foods’ contributions to education, healthcare and economic empowerment were also cited among the factors behind its recognition.
The company’s Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Ekuma Eze, described the award as a reflection of Rite Foods’ efforts to create impact beyond its commercial activities.
According to Eze, the company continues to prioritise innovation by investing in people, technology, manufacturing and new products that respond to changing consumer needs.
He said the recognition would encourage Rite Foods to deepen its efforts in sustainability, community development, human capital growth and other areas that contribute to Nigeria’s development.
The latest honour adds to the company’s growing collection of awards for innovation, business performance, leadership and sustainability.
Rite Foods said it remains committed to strengthening its Nigerian operations to global standards while supporting the growth of local communities and the wider consumer goods sector.
