JMG Limited has commissioned a hybrid solar power system for La Chaumiere Group, a Nigerian premium culinary and hospitality company, as part of efforts to provide more reliable, sustainable and cost-effective energy for its operations.
La Chaumiere Group, which operates a range of hospitality businesses including fine-dining restaurants, Lebanese and Syrian cuisine outlets, specialty coffee destinations and handcrafted popsicle brands, partnered with JMG Solar to strengthen its power supply and reduce its reliance on diesel-generated electricity.
The newly installed system comprises 133.12kWp of solar photovoltaic capacity, 160kW of hybrid inverter capacity and 163.84kWh of high-voltage lithium battery storage.
According to JMG, the integrated system was designed following detailed load analysis using Fluke Load Analyzer and PVsyst simulation software. It is expected to generate about 210.86MWh of clean electricity annually, covering a significant portion of the group’s daily energy needs.
The project is also projected to reduce diesel consumption by approximately 57,000 litres annually, resulting in more than ₦102 million in estimated yearly fuel savings and preventing over 76 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions from being released into the atmosphere.
The installation features LONGi solar modules, Deye hybrid inverters and Deye high-voltage lithium battery storage, providing intelligent energy management and backup power while supporting improved operational efficiency.
Hussein Abbas, Head of Solar Division at JMG, said the project demonstrates how hybrid energy systems can help hospitality businesses maintain reliable power while reducing operating expenses.
He noted that uninterrupted electricity is essential to hospitality businesses seeking to provide consistent customer experiences, adding that the partnership with La Chaumiere Group highlights the potential of hybrid energy solutions to deliver both economic and environmental benefits.
JMG said the project further reflects its capacity to provide turnkey hybrid energy solutions for businesses where reliable power, operational efficiency and long-term cost savings are important.
The company added that it would continue to support businesses seeking to improve energy security, reduce operating costs and advance their sustainability goals through renewable energy technologies.
