The Ogun State High Court in Sagamu has ordered former Governor Gbenga Daniel to submit property documents requested by the state government within two weeks. This directive pertains to his private residence, Asoludero Court, located in Sagamu GRA, as well as Conference Hotels and its annex, both owned by him. The court’s decision came after Daniel secured an interim injunction restraining Governor Abiodun’s administration from tampering with his properties, following the issuance of contravention and demolition notices on August 8.
Gbenga Daniel has been given two weeks to submit the required property documents to the Ministry of Physical Planning. The properties in question include Asoludero Court, his private residence, and Conference Hotels, including its annex. The next court date for the hearing of pending applications is scheduled for October 13, 2025.
The Ogun State Government had accused Gbenga Daniel of constructing his buildings without proper planning permits and working setbacks, prompting the demolition notices.
