Davido, the renowned Afrobeats star, has officially joined the Accord Party, following in the footsteps of his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke. The singer announced his decision on Tuesday via his verified X handle, stating he’ll be in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Wednesday to collect his party membership card .
Governor Adeleke had earlier revealed that he joined the Accord Party on November 6, citing the party’s focus on welfarism, which aligns with his administration’s priorities. Davido’s move comes ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship election, where his uncle is seeking re-election under the Accord Party .
