The 2026 Osun State governorship race is gathering momentum, with the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, attracting growing attention from voters and political stakeholders across the state.
A recent electoral projection has placed Oyebamiji in a strong position, forecasting a 65 per cent chance of victory if current voting trends are sustained.

The latest poll forecasting a 65 per cent chance of victory has boosted the confidence of Oyebamiji’s supporters and added to the political conversation ahead of the election.
Nevertheless, political observers have cautioned that opinion polls are not election results. They noted that factors such as voter turnout, grassroots mobilisation, campaign activities, public sentiment and the credibility of the electoral process could significantly influence the final outcome.
