Rite Foods Limited has received two major recognitions at the 2026 Marketing Edge Awards, with its Managing Director, Seleem Adegunwa, named Outstanding FMCG Brand Entrepreneur of the Year, while the company emerged Outstanding FMCG Corporate Brand of the Year.
The awards were presented during a ceremony organised by Marketing Edge, a publication focused on marketing and brand communications, in Lagos on Friday, September 25, 2026.
The event attracted professionals, business leaders and stakeholders from the marketing, advertising and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors.
The two awards recognise the company’s activities in product development, innovation and consumer engagement, as well as Adegunwa’s leadership of the business.
Receiving the recognition, Adegunwa attributed the honours to the collective efforts of Rite Foods employees and the company’s continued focus on innovation, quality and value creation.
He said the recognition also reflected the company’s contribution to Nigeria’s FMCG sector through the development of locally manufactured products and efforts to strengthen its brands in a competitive market.
Adegunwa added that Rite Foods’ approach to product development and consumer engagement had enabled its brands to respond to changing market preferences.
Also commenting on the corporate award, the Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods, Ekuma Eze, said the recognition reflected the company’s focus on producing quality products while responding to evolving consumer needs.
Eze said the company’s strategy extends beyond product quality to areas including research and development, consumer-focused innovation, environmental sustainability, technology adoption and broader value creation.
“These recognitions reinforce our belief that sustainable brand leadership is built through consistent investment in quality, innovation and the consumer. At Rite Foods, we remain committed to creating products that meet evolving consumer needs while delivering value to our stakeholders and contributing positively to the communities in which we operate,” Eze said.
Rite Foods has continued to expand its product portfolio, recently adding LIDA Malt to its beverage offerings. Its portfolio also includes 13 variants of Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Premium Drinking Water, five variants of Sosa Fruit Drink, Fearless Energy Drink, Rite Spicy Beef Sausage, Bigi Beef Sausage and Bigi Flex Sausage.
The company has also received recognition for its sustainability and responsible business practices. In 2026, Rite Foods was honoured at the National Sustainability Achievements Awards for its work in sustainable manufacturing, product innovation, environmental stewardship and corporate responsibility.
The latest honours follow Adegunwa’s recognition as Industrialist of the Year 2025 by Vanguard Media Limited for his leadership and contribution to Nigeria’s FMCG sector.
The latest Marketing Edge awards add to the company’s growing list of industry recognitions and highlight its continued focus on product development, innovation, sustainability and consumer engagement.
