Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Kunle Afod, has spoken publicly about his separation from his wife, Desola Afod, popularly known as Celeb Wife, identifying career demands, jealousy and suspicions of infidelity among the issues surrounding their marital crisis.
The actor made the revelations during an interview with Kasnasty Sugar, months after reports of the couple’s separation emerged in February 2026.
Responding to a question about the reasons for their separation, Afod explained that the demands of his acting career sometimes left him with little time for his family.
He also spoke about trust issues and allegations of infidelity, suggesting that jealousy and suspicions of unfaithfulness had contributed to tensions in relationships.
During the interview, the actor made controversial remarks about relationships between women, the use of sex toys and what he described as double standards in how couples perceive fidelity.
Afod argued that partners should be held to the same standards in relationships, questioning why some people would react differently to similar behaviour from their spouses.
His comments offered insight into his perspective on the separation, although he did not provide specific details or identify particular incidents involving his marriage.
Reports of trouble in the couple’s relationship first gained public attention in February 2026, when Desola was alleged to have moved her belongings out of their matrimonial home.
The development revived memories of an earlier marital disagreement in October 2022, when Desola publicly announced that she had left the actor. The couple, however, later appeared to have reconciled.
Kunle and Desola have four sons together.
As of the time of this report, Desola has not publicly responded to her husband’s latest comments.
