Mahama guaranteed the protection of Nigerians’ lives, properties, and businesses in Ghana, urging Tinubu not to worry about the recent protests. He emphasized the shared history and brotherly relationship between Nigeria and Ghana, stating that they wouldn’t allow anything to come between them.
Ghana reaffirms its commitment to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) protocols, ensuring the free movement of people and goods within the region. The country is willing to work with Nigeria to strengthen bilateral ties and address common challenges.
Nigeria and Ghana plan to establish a permanent joint commission to address youth migration driven by high unemployment rates. This commission will help to find solutions to the root causes of migration and promote economic cooperation between the two countries.
