Real Madrid secured a spot in the Spanish Super Cup 2026 final with a thrilling 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid. The match took place at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on January 8, 2026. Federico Valverde opened the scoring with a stunning free kick in the 2nd minute, and Rodrygo doubled the lead in the 55th minute. Alexander Sorloth pulled one back for Atletico in the 58th minute, but Real Madrid held on for the win.
The victory sets up a Clasico final against Barcelona, who thrashed Athletic Club 5-0 in the other semifinal. This will be the fourth consecutive Spanish Super Cup final between Real Madrid and Barcelona, with Barca winning the last edition 5-2.
