Former Governor of Ogun State and Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, His Excellency, Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has announced the appointment of Dr. Babatunde Onadeko as Executive Secretary and Dr. Bankole Adegboyega Osisanya as Chief Medical Consultant of the Gateway Front Foundation (GFF), as part of efforts to reposition the organisation for enhanced effectiveness and greater community impact.
The appointments were contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the OGD Media Office, which described the move as a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening the Foundation’s leadership structure with professionals distinguished by their competence, integrity, and commitment to public service.
Dr. Onadeko, a seasoned banking executive, brings extensive experience in finance, corporate governance, and strategic management to his new role. He previously served as the South-West Zonal Head of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) and holds a Master’s degree in Finance as well as a Doctorate in Business Administration from Babcock University.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and the Enterprise Risk Professionals, an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Directors, and an alumnus of the London School of Business and Finance.
Beyond his banking career, Dr. Onadeko currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at Veritas Glanvills Pensions, where he has contributed to strengthening corporate governance practices and institutional growth. His wealth of professional experience is expected to play a key role in advancing the Foundation’s strategic objectives.
Also appointed to the Foundation’s leadership team is renowned medical practitioner, Dr. Bankole Adegboyega Osisanya, who assumes the position of Chief Medical Consultant.
A native of Ijebu-Ode, Dr. Osisanya received his early education at Ijebu Ode Grammar School and Igbobi College before studying Physiology at the University of Ibadan and earning his medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos.
With more than four decades of medical practice, he has served in several healthcare institutions, including State Hospital, Ijebu-Ode; General Hospital, Ibiade; and General Hospital, Ijebu-Ife. In 1990, he founded Ebun Ola Hospital, with branches in Ibiade and Ijebu Imusin.
Beyond his contributions to healthcare delivery, Dr. Osisanya has also made significant contributions to public administration. He previously served as Supervisor for Health in Ijebu East Local Government and as a member of the Ogun State Hospitals Management Board. He currently coordinates federal constituency activities across Ogun Waterside, Ijebu East, and Ijebu North Local Government Areas.
He is also a respected traditional title holder, with the chieftaincy titles of Bamisegun of Ibiade and Otunba Sobaloju of Ijebu Imusin.
While congratulating the two appointees, Senator Gbenga Daniel expressed confidence that their wealth of experience, expertise, and leadership capacity would contribute significantly to advancing the Foundation’s humanitarian, healthcare, education, and community development programmes.
