The New Seraph Evangelical Ministries Worldwide has announced plans to host more than 500,000 worshippers at the eighth edition of its annual Night of Divine Experience (NODE 8.0), while urging Nigerians to participate actively in the democratic process and reject vote-buying.
The ministry’s founder and Iya Aladura General, Dr. Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye, made the call during a briefing with journalists ahead of the three-day spiritual gathering scheduled for August 12 to 14, 2026, at The New Seraph Prayer City, Ode Remo, Ogun State.
With the theme “Supernatural Breakthrough,” drawn from Micah 2:12–13, the programme is expected to attract worshippers from within Nigeria and the diaspora for prayer, worship, biblical teachings and intercession for the nation.
Dr. Yomi-Sholoye said the ministry had put in place extensive arrangements to ensure a successful event, including collaboration with security agencies, transportation support and nationwide mobilisation efforts.
She disclosed that more than 350 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses would be deployed across Lagos, alongside thousands of interstate buses, to provide free transportation for participants attending the programme.
The event will also be streamed live through the ministry’s digital platforms to enable people who cannot attend physically to participate.
Speaking on national issues, the cleric said Nigeria’s challenges require collective responsibility, combining spiritual commitment with active citizenship.
She acknowledged ongoing government efforts towards improving national security and strengthening security institutions, but stressed that citizens also have important roles to play in building a better society.
Yomi-Sholoye encouraged Nigerians to remain law-abiding, pray for the nation and exercise their civic responsibilities by registering and collecting their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
She warned citizens against exchanging their votes for temporary benefits, urging them to consider the long-term future of the country when making electoral choices.
“The future of our nation must never be compromised for temporary gain,” she said.
The cleric also advised political leaders to focus on policies, accountability and measurable achievements rather than making unrealistic promises during election campaigns.
“The season of empty promises is over. Show us your works. Be instruments of breakthrough,” she added.
On security arrangements, Dr. Yomi-Sholoye said the ministry was working with the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to ensure effective crowd management, surveillance and emergency response during the event.
She explained that trained personnel, controlled access points and safety measures had been established within the Prayer City to protect worshippers.
The programme will feature several guest ministers, including Bishop S.T.V. Adegbite, Prophet Israel Oladele Genesis, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, Pastor E.D. Alalade, Prophet Muyiwa Akogun, Prophet Emmanuel Ayodele, Prophet Sam Adebayo Authority and Prophet Toyin Dabiri, among others.
Activities lined up for NODE 8.0 include prayer sessions, specialised seminars for men, women and youths, worship performances, Bible quizzes, healing and deliverance services, as well as prophetic ministrations.
