The leadership of the City Boy Movement (CBM) has removed its Oyo State Coordinator, Ahmed Ajibola, following disciplinary proceedings over allegations of misconduct, insubordination and actions considered detrimental to the interests and reputation of the organisation.
The decision was announced after the completion of an internal disciplinary process initiated by the movement’s national leadership following a petition submitted against Ajibola.
According to the organisation, Ajibola was issued a formal notice to show cause on June 2, 2026, by the Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, requesting his response to allegations contained in the petition.
The notice alleged that Ajibola made abusive, insulting and derogatory remarks against the national leadership of the movement, including the Director-General.
The petition further alleged that he made offensive comments concerning the movement’s Patron, Barr. Seyi Tinubu, directed derogatory remarks at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and engaged in acts of insubordination and disrespect towards constituted authority.
Other allegations contained in the petition included challenging a leader of the movement in Oyo State to a physical confrontation, allegedly creating division and factionalisation within the state chapter, and engaging in conduct capable of damaging the image and reputation of the City Boy Movement.
The organisation had earlier directed Ajibola to submit a written defence within 48 hours, warning that failure to provide a satisfactory response could lead to further disciplinary action.
Following the conclusion of the process, the movement announced Ajibola’s removal as Oyo State Coordinator.
Meanwhile, the national leadership of the City Boy Movement has appointed Hon. Adewale Oladiti as the new State Coordinator for Oyo State.
In an appointment letter dated August 6, 2026, the organisation said Oladiti’s appointment was based on his commitment, grassroots engagement and willingness to contribute to the growth and advancement of the movement in the state.
The appointment letter stated that the new State Coordinator will report directly to the Oyo State Director of the City Boy Movement and operate under the Director’s supervision, authority and overall leadership.
It further reaffirmed that the State Director remains the principal head and chief coordinating authority of the movement in Oyo State.
The City Boy Movement said the new leadership arrangement is aimed at strengthening coordination, unity and effective administration of its activities across the state.
Efforts to reach Ahmed Ajibola for his reaction were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
The appointment and removal were formally signed by Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, Director-General, City Boy Movement, on August 6, 2026.
