The Iyalode of Ibeseland, Chief (Mrs.) Remi Adebiyi, has called on residents of Ibeseland and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to intensify their support for the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, ahead of the forthcoming Ogun State governorship election.
Chief Adebiyi, a retired broadcaster with Ogun State Television (OGTV), made the call on Friday, August 7, 2026, during the APC Ibese Ward meeting held in Ibese, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Addressing party members at the meeting, the veteran broadcaster offered what she described as motherly advice, urging APC members to remain united, loyal and focused as preparations for the election gather momentum.
She emphasised that unity, love and cooperation among party members would be crucial to the party’s success at the polls, stressing that internal division could undermine its chances of achieving victory.
Chief Adebiyi also appealed to the people of Ibeseland to continue mobilising support for Senator Adeola, noting that grassroots participation and strong community engagement would be important in the political process.
Speaking particularly to women at the gathering, she described them as a vital force in every successful election and encouraged them to participate actively in the party’s mobilisation efforts.
She urged women across the ward to reach out to others, remain committed and work together in support of the APC and its candidates.
Chief Adebiyi further called on party members to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola and other APC candidates, while encouraging them to maintain peace and unity throughout the electoral process.
Her remarks were said to have boosted the morale of party members at the meeting, with attendees reaffirming their commitment to working together and strengthening the party’s grassroots structure ahead of the forthcoming elections.
