Big Brother Naija Season 11 took another dramatic turn on Sunday as housemates Sultex and Goddessa were evicted from the “Show Ya Sef” house after five weeks in the reality television competition.
Their departures were announced during the fifth live eviction show, bringing the number of evicted housemates to seven. The duo became the sixth and seventh contestants to leave the house.
The eviction came after Sultex and Goddessa were among the housemates nominated for possible eviction during the week. Both reportedly admitted after their exits that they did not expect to leave the competition at that stage.
Goddessa’s eviction also brought an end to her developing relationship with fellow housemate Araga. During her exit interview with host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, she spoke about their relationship and described Araga as demanding, while acknowledging that she cared about him.
Sultex, meanwhile, reflected on his experience in Biggie’s house during his post-eviction interview, discussing his time in the competition and some of the relationships and events that shaped his journey.
The live show, however, was not solely about evictions. Big Brother introduced another major twist involving the two Gambit housemates, Aikou and Flora, who had previously secured guaranteed places in the grand finale but had sacrificed their eligibility to win the grand prize.
Dubbed “Operation Release the Gambit,” the new twist handed viewers the power to decide whether Aikou, Flora or both should be released from their Gambit status and allowed to compete for the grand prize.
The development has added another layer of uncertainty to the competition, with the remaining housemates now facing a reshaped game as the battle for the grand prize continues.
