A social media user, Joseph Aluko, has commended the Ijede Police Division of the Lagos State Command for its swift response to a robbery incident in the Ijede area of Ikorodu, Lagos.
Aluko, in a post shared on X, praised the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and his team for their response to an early-morning robbery reportedly carried out in the Okeletu and Mamood areas of Ijede on September 13, 2026.

According to him, the suspects allegedly raided four buildings between 2:30 a.m. and 3:40 a.m., carting away valuables including mobile phones, laptops, wristwatches and cash.
He said the police responded to a distress call and arrested one of the suspected robbers around Mamood. Information obtained during the investigation, he added, subsequently led to the arrest of other suspects in Apapa, Alaba Rago and Ogijo.
Aluko further claimed that the Ijede Police Division had recovered about 80 per cent of the items allegedly stolen during the incident, while CCTV footage also assisted the investigation.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Fatai Tijani, the Alajede of Ijede, local government authorities, the Ijede DPO and the police officers involved in the operation.
Aluko also called for stronger intelligence gathering and increased efforts to identify and clear suspected criminal hideouts, particularly in swampy areas, while urging continued support for security agencies to prevent similar incidents in Ijede and other parts of Lagos State.
