Rite Foods Limited has expanded its beverage portfolio with the launch of LIDA Malt Classic, a non-alcoholic malt drink introduced under the brand proposition, “LIDA Malt. Made for You.”
The product was unveiled to media representatives and content creators during an immersion programme at the company’s manufacturing facility in Ososa, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, on October 15, 2026. The event provided participants with an opportunity to learn about the new beverage and explore the company’s manufacturing operations.
Speaking at the programme, Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods, said the new product reflects the company’s commitment to innovation, quality and meeting changing consumer preferences.
He explained that LIDA Malt was developed to complement everyday occasions, including meals, social gatherings and moments of relaxation.
Currently available in its Classic variant and packaged in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, the beverage represents another addition to the company’s locally manufactured product offerings.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Rite Foods, Seleem Adegunwa, said the introduction demonstrates the company’s continued efforts to strengthen its product portfolio with offerings that combine quality, innovation and consumer relevance.
Similarly, Toyin Nnodi, the company’s Head of Marketing, explained that LIDA Malt was developed with consumers’ preferences and daily routines in mind. She added that the brand’s “Made for You” proposition reflects its focus on creating products that connect with consumers and their lifestyles.
LIDA Malt joins Rite Foods’ existing beverage portfolio, which includes Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, available in 13 variants; Bigi Premium Drinking Water; Sosa Fruit Drink, with five variants; and Fearless Energy Drink. The company also manufactures Rite Spicy Beef, Bigi Beef and Bigi Flex Sausages.
Beyond product development, the company highlighted its focus on operational efficiency and sustainable energy during the factory tour. Eze noted that energy management remains an important part of its strategy for improving productivity, business continuity and environmental sustainability.
According to him, approximately 95 per cent of the company’s energy consumption comes from natural gas and solar power, while diesel accounts for the remaining five per cent.
The introduction of LIDA Malt Classic further strengthens Rite Foods’ presence in Nigeria’s food and beverage industry, adding another locally produced option to the country’s competitive malt drink market.
