Students of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) are set for three days of music, entertainment and talent discovery as Soundcity OnTour arrives on campus from October 26 to 28, with support from Bigi and Fearless Energy Drink.
The tour, which recently visited the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), continues its journey across Nigerian universities, offering students opportunities to enjoy live entertainment and showcase their creative abilities.
A major highlight of the UNILORIN edition is the Bigi Music Auditions, which will give aspiring campus artistes the opportunity to display their musical talents and compete for a ₦1 million prize at participating universities.
The initiative is designed to provide emerging musicians with greater visibility, boost their confidence and create opportunities for them to pursue their musical ambitions.
For Bigi, the partnership reflects its commitment to connecting with young Nigerians through experiences that celebrate creativity, encourage self-expression and provide platforms for discovering emerging talents.
Speaking ahead of the event, Biola Aransiola, Brand Manager of BIGI, said the initiative was created to give young people opportunities to showcase their abilities and connect with audiences.
She noted that Soundcity OnTour would bring music closer to students while providing aspiring artistes with a platform to demonstrate their potential.
According to her, the brand hopes to encourage students to participate actively, express themselves creatively and take advantage of opportunities that could help advance their musical careers.
Fearless Energy Drink is also bringing its energy to the campus experience, adding to the planned activities centred on music, student engagement and youthful expression.
The event is expected to provide a platform for students to celebrate campus culture while giving talented individuals an opportunity to attract attention to their musical abilities.
As the tour arrives in Ilorin, UNILORIN students are encouraged to participate in the three-day programme and take advantage of the auditions to showcase their talents.
The event runs from October 26 to 28, with Bigi and Fearless Energy Drink supporting an experience that combines campus entertainment with opportunities for emerging musicians to pursue their dreams.
