Nestlé Nigeria Plc has appointed Toritseju (Toju) Egbebi as its Corporate Communications and Sustainability Manager, effective November 1, 2026, following the retirement of Victoria Uwadoka after 10 years of service with the company.
Egbebi, who currently serves as Corporate Affairs Manager, brings 18 years of experience in public relations and corporate communications across the technology, financial services and consumer goods sectors.
During her time at Nestlé Nigeria, she has contributed to strengthening the company’s corporate reputation, public affairs and stakeholder engagement, while building relationships with the media and other key stakeholders.
She has also played a role in promoting the company’s Nestlé for Good platform, which highlights its initiatives in healthier nutrition, community development and environmental sustainability.
Her appointment comes as the company prepares for a leadership transition in its communications and sustainability function, with expectations that her experience will support ongoing efforts to strengthen stakeholder relationships and communicate the organisation’s impact in Nigeria.
Uwadoka’s retirement marks the end of a decade-long tenure during which she made significant contributions to Nestlé Nigeria’s corporate reputation, stakeholder engagement and Creating Shared Value agenda.
Under her leadership, the company advanced communications and sustainability initiatives covering nutrition, youth empowerment, agriculture, water stewardship, environmental responsibility and community development.
She also championed employee engagement and helped communicate the company’s corporate priorities and sustainability commitments in ways that promoted public understanding and trust.
Beyond her responsibilities at Nestlé Nigeria, Uwadoka contributed to the development of Nigeria’s communications industry through professional advocacy, industry leadership and mentorship. She consistently promoted strategic communications as an important tool for business growth and societal development.
Commenting on the transition, Nestlé Nigeria’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Wassim Elhusseini, expressed appreciation for Uwadoka’s contributions to the company and the wider communications profession.
He commended her leadership, professionalism and commitment over the past decade, while wishing her success in her next chapter.
Elhusseini also expressed confidence in Egbebi’s ability to build on the company’s existing communications and stakeholder engagement efforts.
He emphasised that effective communication and strong stakeholder relationships remain essential to building trust, advancing the company’s purpose and demonstrating the positive impact of its operations in Nigeria.
Egbebi’s appointment is expected to provide continuity in the company’s communications and sustainability activities as Nestlé Nigeria continues to engage stakeholders and communicate its initiatives across nutrition, community development and environmental responsibility.
