Promasidor has launched the Eco Alert App, a digital platform designed to empower employees to report sustainability-related concerns and contribute to their timely resolution.
The app was unveiled during the company’s Sustainability Day 2026 employee engagement event, reinforcing its commitment to making environmental responsibility a shared priority across its operations.
The initiative provides employees with a dedicated channel to identify sustainability challenges and support practical improvements, reflecting the company’s belief that lasting environmental progress depends on collective action.
Speaking at the event, Promasidor’s Chief Technical Officer, Brighton Ochieng, highlighted the company’s achievements in resource efficiency despite challenges encountered along its sustainability journey.
He disclosed that Promasidor had reduced paper usage by 30 per cent year-to-date, while improved water and energy consumption practices had generated significant savings for the business this year.
The achievement demonstrates how responsible resource management can reduce waste, improve operational efficiency and deliver financial benefits.
Also speaking, the Packaging and Sustainability Manager, Solomon Makanjuola, highlighted emerging sustainability trends and encouraged employees to make environmentally conscious choices in their daily activities.
The event also recognised teams and individuals whose contributions have advanced the company’s sustainability goals. The Heat Factory received special recognition for adopting a paperless process, demonstrating the impact of practical workplace changes on resource conservation.
A sustainability quiz further engaged employees, reinforcing key lessons, while the programme concluded with attendees pledging to embrace sustainable practices at work, at home and within their communities.
With the introduction of the Eco Alert App and continued progress in resource efficiency, Promasidor is strengthening its sustainability culture by encouraging employees to take an active role in identifying challenges, reducing waste and driving continuous improvement.
