Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Lagos, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, has formally introduced his new wife, Mo Jasyme, to members of the congregation during a Sunday service at the church’s headquarters in Ilupeju.
The introduction, which took place on November 1, 2026, has attracted attention following the emergence of a video showing the moment the cleric presented his wife to the congregation.
The development came a day after Odukoya shared a photograph of two hands wearing wedding rings on social media, accompanied by the caption, “To a new beginning.” The post generated speculation among his followers about his marital status before he confirmed the development during the church service.
Addressing the congregation, Odukoya explained that he had spent some time alone since assuming leadership of the church but eventually found someone he considered suitable for companionship.
Making the announcement, he said: “The Bible says it’s not good to be alone. He said, I will find somebody suitable. Described as when Adam saw, he said, this is the flesh of my flesh. Bone of my bone: my left and right ribs.
“So, I was looking and searching. And I found. There are what we call Kairos moments.”
Referring to the earlier social media post, the pastor clarified that it was not an artwork or a publicity stunt but an announcement of his marriage.
He subsequently invited his wife to join him before the congregation, introducing her as Pastor Mrs Odukoya and the church’s First Lady.
The congregation welcomed the couple with applause as they made their way to the front of the church.
In her brief remarks, Mo expressed her joy at joining the church and standing alongside her husband.
“Good morning, family. It’s my pleasure and honour to be here and stand alongside my husband. The senior pastor of the Fountain of Life Church,” she said.
Following the introduction, Odukoya invited Pastor Tunde Bakare, founder of Citadel Global Community Church, to offer prayers and blessings for the couple.
Bakare, accompanied by his wife, Olayide, prayed for the newlyweds, asking God to strengthen their marriage and make their home a centre for kingdom activities.
Odukoya was previously married to Oluwakemi Banjoko, whom he wed in London in March 2013. Their marriage produced two children before the couple separated.
His new wife, Mo Jasyme, is a designer and creative entrepreneur who was previously married to British-Nigerian music producer Mosadoluwa Adegboye, popularly known as itsMOSA. The circumstances surrounding the end of her previous marriage have not been publicly established.
The introduction marks a new chapter in the personal life of the Fountain of Life Church leader, with the video of the announcement generating reactions among social media users and members of the Christian community.
