The Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, has reaffirmed the Fund’s commitment to supporting grassroots security initiatives across Lagos State.
Ogunsan gave the assurance while receiving the leadership of the Agege Community Security Trust Fund during a courtesy visit to the LSSTF’s new headquarters on Assbifi Road, Central Business District, Alausa, Ikeja.
The delegation was led by the Chief Executive Officer of the Agege Security Trust Fund, Mr. Anikulapo M. Adeyemi, alongside an advisory board member, Mr. Adeniran Samson Israel.
The visit provided an opportunity for both organisations to strengthen their partnership and explore ways to improve security operations in Agege Local Government Area, following the official inauguration of the community security initiative on October 8, 2026.
Speaking during the meeting, Ogunsan stressed the importance of sustained collaboration and dedication to service in achieving the objectives of the Agege Security Trust Fund.
He expressed confidence that with commitment from its leadership and stakeholders, the initiative could deliver practical and lasting security interventions, similar to the efforts of the LSSTF, which is approaching two decades of supporting security operations in Lagos State.
At the inauguration of the Agege Security Trust Fund, Ogunsan had demonstrated the LSSTF’s support by presenting a brand-new operational patrol vehicle to the Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government, Hon. Vinod Obasa, to strengthen security response and improve operational mobility.

He also pledged additional protective and operational equipment for security personnel, including 10 ballistic helmets, 10 bulletproof vests, raincoats and operational boots.
The LSSTF chief had also highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in security management, identifying government, residents, security agencies and the private sector as essential partners in building safer communities.
He further assured the Agege initiative of the Fund’s continued support in mobilising broader stakeholder participation.
The Agege Community Security Trust Fund was established to encourage grassroots involvement and provide sustainable funding for security operations in the local government area. Its activities are expected to strengthen intelligence gathering, prevent crime and improve security coordination at the community level.
