Mobility remains a critical component of effective security operations, as the ability of security personnel to move quickly, patrol strategic locations and respond promptly to emerging threats often determines the success of security interventions.
Recognising the importance of operational mobility in enhancing public safety, Dongfeng Motors of China has reinforced its partnership with the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) with the donation of five additional pickup vehicles to support security operations across Lagos State.
The latest donation brings the total number of vehicles contributed by the Chinese automobile manufacturer to six, following an earlier donation of one vehicle on February 6, 2026. Dongfeng Motors has also pledged to increase its support to 10 vehicles before the end of 2026, further demonstrating its commitment to strengthening Lagos’ security infrastructure.
The five newly donated vehicles were delivered by the Commercial Manager of Dongfeng Motors China, Mrs. Tina, and received by the Executive Secretary/CEO of LSSTF, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan. The vehicles will be officially handed over to the Fund at the company’s Lagos showroom.
Speaking on the development, Dr. Ogunsan commended Dongfeng Motors for its continued support towards improving security operations in Lagos. He described the company’s intervention as a significant contribution to enhancing the capacity of security agencies and assured the automobile firm of his commitment to promoting its business interests within the state.
The additional vehicles are expected to boost the operational efficiency of security personnel by improving patrol capabilities, logistics support and rapid response to security challenges across the state.
The partnership also reflects LSSTF’s growing international collaboration under the leadership of Dr. Ogunsan, as the Fund continues to attract strategic partnerships and resources aimed at addressing the operational needs of security agencies in Lagos.
For LSSTF, the Dongfeng Motors initiative represents more than just vehicle donations; it highlights the importance of collective responsibility and sustained investment in security institutions tasked with protecting lives, property and the economic strength of Lagos State.
