The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced Thursday, September 24, 2026, as the date for the release of the results of the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal.
The results are scheduled to be officially announced at 11 a.m. at the council’s headquarters on Bida Road, Minna, Niger State.
The announcement follows the conclusion of the 2026 SSCE Internal Award Committee meeting, which was presided over by the Registrar and Chief Executive of NECO, Professor Dantani Wushishi, on Tuesday.
A statement from the council indicated that the meeting represented the final stage of preparations for the release of the examination results.
The 2026 SSCE Internal examination was conducted between June 15 and July 23, 2026, for students in their final year of secondary education.
The release date comes after NECO had earlier projected that the results would be available by the first week of September. The council subsequently apologised to candidates and other stakeholders over the delay and assured them that the results were at the final stage of processing.
Candidates and parents are expected to be able to access the results through NECO’s official result-checking platform after the results are released.
