JMG Limited has partnered with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative to provide food assistance to more than 400 households in Majidun, Ikorodu, Lagos State, as part of activities marking World Food Day.
The outreach, held on October 17, 2026, was organised under the Temporary Food Assistance Programme (TEFAP) to support families experiencing food insecurity and ease the burden of meeting their daily nutritional needs.
The initiative highlighted the importance of collaboration between corporate organisations and humanitarian groups in addressing hunger and providing relief to vulnerable communities.

As part of the exercise, JMG’s leadership team and staff joined volunteers at the Lagos Food Bank Initiative’s headquarters to package food supplies for distribution. The team was received by the organisation’s Executive Director, Dr Michael Sunbola, alongside Samita Keshinro, Muame Agbosi and other staff members and volunteers, who also conducted a tour of the facility.
The team later proceeded to Majidun, where the outreach commenced with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative pledge, reaffirming their shared commitment to reducing hunger and supporting families in need.
Speaking at the event, JMG’s Chief Operating Officer, Christian G. Kozma, emphasised the importance of supporting women and recognising their contributions to society.
He explained that the initiative aimed to reach more than 400 women in Ikorodu, noting that women occupy important positions within society and play significant roles in families and organisations.
According to Kozma, the outreach reflects JMG’s commitment to supporting women and promoting their advancement through meaningful community interventions.
JMG’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Gloria Ibeziako, also stressed that addressing hunger requires collective responsibility from individuals, businesses and communities.
She said the company believes in empowerment, care and shared responsibility, adding that organisations can contribute to improving people’s lives by helping families meet their basic needs.
Ibeziako expressed the company’s satisfaction with being able to support households facing food insecurity and called for continued collective efforts to reduce hunger.
In his remarks, Dr Sunbola commended JMG for partnering with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative to provide direct assistance to families in the community.
He disclosed that the food boxes distributed during the exercise contained supplies capable of supporting a family of five for more than two to three weeks.
Sunbola noted that the intervention would provide relief to households struggling to secure their next meals, while expressing appreciation to JMG for its support for vulnerable women and families.
One of the beneficiaries, Morenike Adigun, also expressed gratitude to both organisations, describing the assistance as timely and helpful.
She explained that the food supplies would help her provide for her family and reduce some of the financial pressure associated with meeting daily household food needs. She also expressed hope that similar initiatives would reach more families in need.

The Baale of Majidun Community, Chief Alex Olusegun Omoyele, equally appreciated JMG and the Lagos Food Bank Initiative for extending assistance to residents and helping ease the burden on local households.
The intervention underscores JMG’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and community development beyond its core business of providing power and electromechanical solutions.

Through its partnership with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative, the company demonstrated how collaboration between the private sector and humanitarian organisations can provide practical support to families facing economic challenges and contribute to efforts to combat hunger.
