President Bola Tinubu’s administration has emphasized fairness and inclusivity in its development agenda, ensuring no region is left behind. The administration has spread projects across the country, including infrastructure development such as roads, rail, and power.
The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, Trans-Sahara Highway, and Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Road are some of the notable road projects. Additionally, the administration is working on the Kano-Maradi rail line, Port Harcourt-Maiduguri Eastern Corridor, and metro projects in Lagos, Ogun, Kano, and Kaduna.
In terms of regional allocations, the Northwest region has received the largest share of federal approvals, with ₦5.97 trillion allocated. Other regions have also benefited, including the South-South region with ₦2.41 trillion, North-Central with ₦1.13 trillion, South-West (excluding Lagos) with ₦604 billion, South-East with ₦407 billion, and North-East with ₦400 billion.
The administration’s focus on job creation is also expected to have a positive impact on the economy. Ongoing projects are anticipated to create over 250,000 jobs nationwide. Furthermore, the government has rehabilitated over 1,000 primary healthcare centers across the country, demonstrating its commitment to improving healthcare.
President Tinubu’s administration emphasizes competence and regional balance in federal appointments, ensuring inclusivity. The establishment of five new Regional Development Commissions and the creation of the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development demonstrate the administration’s commitment to balanced development.
