• Participants to Receive Over 1 Terabyte Internet Data for Active Engagement
As digital technology continues to shape critical sectors including commerce, education, governance and social interaction, cybersecurity has emerged as one of the defining challenges of the 21st century. The increasing dependence on digital platforms has also heightened exposure to cyber threats such as phishing, identity theft, cyberbullying, misinformation, financial fraud and other forms of online crime.
Recognising the urgent need to promote digital awareness and responsible online behaviour, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund’s Campaign Against Crime, Cultism and Other Vices (LSSTF-CACCOV) has announced the 2026 July edition of its Cybersecurity Campaign, themed “Staying Safe in a Digital World.”
The virtual campaign is scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. (WAT), and will bring together cybersecurity experts, technology professionals, policy advocates, young people and members of the public to discuss practical solutions for navigating the digital space safely.
The programme, which will be streamed live on YouTube, is designed to deepen public understanding of emerging cyber risks while promoting digital literacy, online safety and responsible digital citizenship.

Organisers disclosed that participants who actively engage during the session will receive over 1 Terabyte of Internet Data to support continued learning and digital development.
The event will be hosted by the State Coordinator of the LSSTF-CACCOV initiative, Dr. Moses Oladimeji, who stressed the importance of cybersecurity awareness in today’s technology-driven society.
According to him, security in the modern era extends beyond physical environments into cyberspace, where millions of digital interactions take place daily. He noted that the ability to safely use online platforms has become an essential skill for individuals, businesses and institutions.
The campaign will feature Oluwabamise Soile, Lead, Security Governance and Risk at Payaza, and Meshole Emmanuel, Head of Programmes and Outreaches, LSSTF-CACCOV, as keynote speakers. Participants will gain insights into emerging cyber threats, practical approaches to online protection, interactive discussions, cybersecurity resources and digital tools that can enhance personal and organisational safety.
The initiative is being championed under the leadership of the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, who serves as the Grand Patron of LSSTF-CACCOV. The campaign is supported by strategic partners including the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Executive Hotel & Suites, Aethelgard Global Limited, AccompliTech and Tormer, highlighting the growing collaboration between the public and private sectors in strengthening cyber resilience.
The cybersecurity campaign further reinforces LSSTF-CACCOV’s preventive security approach, which focuses on tackling the root causes of crime through advocacy, education and community engagement. Over the years, the initiative has undertaken programmes targeting issues such as cultism in tertiary institutions, drug abuse prevention and public safety awareness.
Through the cybersecurity initiative, LSSTF-CACCOV aims to build a more informed, alert and digitally responsible society capable of responding effectively to the evolving challenges of the digital age.
