Nestlé Nigeria has honoured 16 of its distributor partners in recognition of their exceptional business performance and unwavering commitment to ensuring the consistent availability of Nestlé products across the country. The recognition underscores the company’s dedication to fostering long-term partnerships that create shared value, strengthen businesses, expand market access, and connect millions of Nigerian consumers with trusted brands.
The Distributor Recognition Award celebrates partners who recorded outstanding national sell-out performance and achieved consecutive volume growth in both 2024 and 2025. Despite a challenging business environment characterised by inflationary pressures, foreign exchange volatility, and changing consumer purchasing behaviour, the honoured distributors demonstrated remarkable resilience, adaptability, and collaboration in sustaining growth while effectively serving retailers and consumers nationwide.
As part of the recognition, each of the 16 award recipients received a brand-new distribution truck, reflecting Nestlé Nigeria’s continued investment in strengthening its distribution network. The initiative forms part of the company’s broader strategy to enhance distribution infrastructure, improve inventory management, provide operational support, increase market penetration, and drive sustainable business growth.
Nestlé Nigeria currently partners with more than 200 distributors whose combined operations serve over 200,000 retailers across the country, ensuring that Nestlé products remain accessible to millions of consumers daily. Beyond facilitating the movement of products from the company’s manufacturing facilities to the marketplace, the extensive distribution network supports thousands of Nigerian entrepreneurs and businesses, stimulates economic activity in communities, and strengthens a wider ecosystem of retailers, logistics providers, and service operators that contribute significantly to the nation’s economy.
Speaking at the recognition ceremony, the Commercial Manager of Nestlé Nigeria Plc, Boladale Odunlami, said the company’s success is closely tied to the success of its distribution partners.
“At Nestlé Nigeria, we believe our success is intrinsically linked to the success of our partners. Our distributors play a vital role in ensuring consumers across Nigeria have uninterrupted access to the products they know and trust. This is why we continue to invest in their growth and capabilities—not only to strengthen our business but also to create shared value for the entrepreneurs and businesses that are integral to Nigeria’s retail economy,” she said.
Odunlami noted that the recognition celebrates distributors whose consistent performance and consecutive growth over the past two years exemplify resilience, dedication, and the enduring value of strong partnerships.
“Today’s recognition is a testament to the resilience, consistency, and long-term commitment of our distributor partners. It also reflects Nestlé Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to growing together while building a stronger, more resilient value chain,” she added.
In addition to the overall recognition, two of the 16 distributors received special awards for outstanding business recovery in 2025, in acknowledgement of their remarkable resilience and determination in returning their operations to sustained growth despite prevailing economic challenges.
Responding on behalf of the award recipients, Chairman of SEDDT Nigeria Limited, Alhaja M.D. Jolaosho, expressed appreciation to Nestlé Nigeria for the recognition.
“Running a distribution business comes with significant challenges, and maintaining consistent growth requires the dedication of an entire team. We are deeply honoured by this recognition from Nestlé Nigeria. It inspires us to continue investing in our business, delivering greater value to our customers, and strengthening the enduring partnership we have built over the years,” she said.
Through continued investments across its value chain—from suppliers and distributors to retailers—Nestlé Nigeria remains committed to empowering Nigerian businesses and entrepreneurs, improving access to quality and nutritious food and beverages, and creating sustainable shared value that benefits communities and contributes to the country’s economic growth.
