Airtel Africa Group Chief Executive Officer, Sunil Taldar, has commissioned two new Premium Experience Centres in Lagos as Airtel Nigeria intensifies efforts to expand its retail presence and improve customer experience across the country.
The newly commissioned centres are located at DAT Mall, Sangotedo, and Marina, Lagos. Their opening forms part of Airtel Nigeria’s broader plan to establish 500 Premium Experience Centres nationwide, with more than 350 already launched across the country.
Speaking during the commissioning, Taldar described Nigeria as one of the most important markets in Airtel Africa’s portfolio, stressing the company’s long-term commitment to investing in the country’s connectivity infrastructure, customer experience and economic potential.
According to him, the new centres are designed to bring Airtel’s products and services closer to customers while providing a more convenient environment for accessing connectivity solutions.
The Premium Experience Centres will offer a range of consumer and enterprise services, including Fibre and Home Broadband solutions, Outdoor Units (ODU), subscriptions, enquiries, after-sales support and assistance with service-related issues.
Airtel Nigeria Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dinesh Balsingh, said the expansion was part of the company’s wider strategy to improve the quality of service throughout the customer journey.
Balsingh noted that quality service goes beyond network performance, adding that customers should also have convenient access to products and support whenever they need them.
He explained that the new centres would complement Airtel Nigeria’s investments in network capacity and technology while responding to customers’ growing demand for broadband, Fibre, ODU and other digital connectivity solutions.
Airtel Nigeria currently operates more than 9,000 exclusive shops across the country, over 350 Premium Experience Centres and more than 73,000 retailers in major towns and cities.
The company said the retail expansion was partly shaped by customer feedback, with the new centres intended to make transactions faster, improve accessibility and provide more efficient customer support.
The latest openings come as Airtel Nigeria advances its broader customer experience strategy, which also includes digital self-service platforms, AI-powered customer support, customer forums and continued investment in network expansion.
With the addition of the Sangotedo and Marina centres, Airtel Nigeria is further strengthening its physical retail network as it works towards its target of 500 Premium Experience Centres nationwide.
