The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has celebrated Assistant Comptroller Akpevwe Ogboru, also known as “Tracta 2”, for completing a remarkable 35-day motorbike journey from Nigeria to Belgium. Ogboru covered an impressive distance of approximately 10,265 kilometers across two continents and ten countries, arriving at the Nigerian Embassy in Brussels on September 4, 2025.
The journey, themed “Ride for Women Inclusivity and Cross-Border Research”, aimed to promote gender inclusivity, girl-child empowerment, and cultural exchange. Ogboru’s achievement has been hailed as a symbol of resilience and determination, particularly for Nigerian women breaking barriers in diverse fields.
The Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, praised Ogboru’s bravery and dedication, describing her as a beacon of inspiration for Customs officers, Nigerians, and the global community.
